a song of freedom and praise

to a place I've never seen

You take me where I can be truly free 

no burdens nor cares of this life for me 

only a beautiful joyful space 

where every worry is erased

with one look at Your kind and gentle face

and a reassuring touch of Your powerful hand

leading me through 

this promised land

together forever just like You had planned 

singing and dancing like children again

filled with life,

rich and 

abundant 

no more strife, 

You've raised me

       above it

I've been healed and restored completely

You've conquered all that was designed to defeat me. 

with Your own life and blood, did sacrificially release me 

paid my debt in full so I could have new life 

having fought every battle for me that there was to fight

got me away from dark and led me into The Light

now, please help me to keep forgetting what used to be

I need You to keep reminding me

that in You, I have been made complete 

I have no need for anything else

You've given me everything

even Your Self

my soul is saved and it is well 

Now I truly live to obediently tell

of Your Love and 

my getaway to joy and bliss

from the incarceration of hell

This message must be shared 

with others still blind and confined there

they need to know there's a place where

In Your grace, they too

can getaway and make it through

and be blessed to live in freedom

in real life, 

 in You!
